Description

On 11th March 2011, a violent earthquake hit Japan, causing a terrible tsunami which killed many people, and destroyed homes and property. Worse, it damaged the coolers of the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant, releasing devastating radiation into the environment. Six people of various ages, professions and backgrounds were living in the area when the tsunami hit and changed everything. One woman was at a job interview, and a small child was at school. A young man was nursing his newborn baby, while an old man, without radio or TV, was unaware of the catastrophe so close to his home. After the disaster, a pregnant lady worried about her unborn child, and how to feed her family, while in a quiet monastery, a monk wanted to repair the damaged environment around him. These are their heartbreaking stories.
