Description

One hot day, the deputy sheriff of a small town enters the home of a black man called Ron Wallis. The deputy is thirsty and needs some water to drink. To his great surprise, he finds Wallis sitting on the floor, crying. He’s holding a dead boy in his arms – a 12-year-old white boy. He’s the son of the richest man in town – a powerful mine owner called Thomas Foster. The deputy arrests Wallis for the murder of the boy. Although Wallis is a kind and honest man, the townspeople are prejudiced against him and convinced he is guilty. Only the priest and the sheriff believe Wallis is innocent of this terrible crime. Will Wallis receive the justice he deserves or will prejudice and hate determine his destiny?
